Voidomatis or Vouidomatos (i.e. ox’s eye) is located 62km south of Heraklion and 2.5km east of the hamlet Treis Ekklisies. The area is situated on the southern slopes of Asterousia Mounts. An impressive gorge with towering walls and wild cliffs, a very common landscape for Asterousia, stops in Voidomatis.

At the exit of the gorge, a stunning beach with sand and blue waters is shaped. There are two big rocks in the sea. However, the characteristic feature of this place is the awesome huge cave (ox's eye), formed in the east end of the beach. This sea cave is the eye of the ox!

The beach is secluded and isolated, like most beaches of Asterousia. Access here can be done through a rough dirt road that starts from Treis Ekklisies and heads eastwards.

Around Voidomatis there are several bays with beautiful beaches. You won’t find anyone there, except from some locals.
